The Company

Topanga Teas is a small tea company in Topanga Canyon, California. We source single-origin teas directly from the people who grow them, one small lot at a time, and every farm we work with is one we've visited ourselves.

Doi Mae Salong, Chiang Rai

Our oolongs come from a family farm in the mountains of northern Thailand, grown at 1,200 to 1,600 meters. We've walked the plantation and met the family who grows them, and we buy directly from them each season. Dew Drop is light and floral, Osmanthus is scented with blossoms the traditional way, and Jin Xuan is naturally creamy, never flavored.

Serisawa Matcha

Matcha is where my love of tea began, taught to me by my great-grandparents, artists from Yokohama. Our first matcha, Serisawa, is named for my great-grandfather, and we're traveling to Japan to find the farm that's right for it.

The Canyon

Our first tea plants are already growing here in Topanga, flowering and setting seed among the oaks. It will be a while before there's enough to steep, but we'll share the garden as it grows.

Over time, we'll add teas from other parts of Asia, always from farms we know and trust.
